The Avant Garde Yoyo actually has some of its center weight removed, due to its angular shape, so it has a very unique playing experience. This yoyo is an unresponsive yoyo, so a "bind" is required to get the yoyo to return to your hand. A bind is performed by looping the string around the gap, which causes friction, and getting the yoyo to return to your hand.
