One Drop’s Overture yoyo releases July 6, 2018.
The One Drop Overture yoyo is a collaboration with Sebastian Brock, U.S. National Champion. Sebby is known for creating The Alternative Freestyle Invitational, usually taking place at the World Yo-Yo Contest. His dedication to yoyoing lead him to create this invitational to showcase talent without the pressure of competing with the point system and to inspire other yoyo players.
Sebby’s goal with the Overture yoyo was to return to and redesign the classic organic yoyo. His style incorporates off axis play and layers of tricks. The One Drop Overture is designed for a big but stable yoyo to support this creative style of play. The diameter of the Overture is 57.9 mm and weighs 66.9 grams.
The size and stability of the Overture allows the yoyo to move through complex tricks powerfully. Sebby returned to classic yoyo design by adding the large retro hub for extra center weight. This center weight makes for better weight distribution to power through long series of complex tricks.
Sebby describes the Overture as it “slays with a soul.”
