If you are buying a yoyo, don't forget to buy a yo-yo trick book to carry with you, a yoyo trick DVD for at home, and extra yoyo strings. Learning new tricks makes yoyoing much more fun, and you'll need extra strings, because they wear out with regular use.

If you grew up in the 1950s or 1960s, you probably had a wooden Duncan yoyo at some point in your childhood. But if you grew up in the 1970s and beyond, this plastic Duncan Imperial yoyo with a metal axle was the standard that you could find at just about every toy store, grocery store, or big box discount store. You can do basic yoyo tricks with this yoyo. Things like Walk the Dog, Around the World, Rock the Baby and the Sleeper.

This yoyo is so cheap and basic that we only sell them in bunches of 5. They make for great party favors, or for great beginner yoyos for kids who are just learning beginner tricks. If you are worried that your kid is going to break the yoyo quickly, a group of five of these might be just the trick. Or you might just want to buy it for nostalgic reasons.
