YoyoFactory SuperStar Yoyo New

The brand new YoyoFactory SuperStar yoyo is a redesign of the original SuperStar -- a yoyo so well designed that John Ando won the World 1A Yoyo Contest with it in 2008, and Kentaro Kimura won the 3A World Yoyo Contest with it in 2009. Two world championships, two different years, in two different yoyo categories. Now that's a good yoyo design.

Believe it or not, the new redesign of the SuperStar takes this yoyo and makes it even better. YoyoFactory has widened the profile of the yoyo for greater stability, altered the weight distribution to improve stability, hand feel and spin time, and eliminated the hubstack posts to give you more room for side grinds. You won't believe the performance of this yoyo until you put the string on your finger and start playing with it. And once you do play with it, your other metal yoyos might have to just sit on the shelf for a while, neglected.

The new YoyoFactory SuperStar is a non-responsive (unresponsive) yoyo. That means that when you throw a sleeper with it and tug on the string to wake it up, it will not come back to your hand. You have to learn to bind -- a special type of yoyo trick where you throw a bunch of string back into the gap of the yoyo while it is spinning and basically forces the yoyo to come back up to your hand. Binding takes practice, but once you learn how to do it, it opens up an entire range of "new school" types of tricks that are not possible with a standard yoyo that wakes up when you tug on the string.
